Sudden Lights wins Supernova 2023

Sudden Lights has won Supernova 2023. The band will represent Latvia at Liverpool with “Aijā”. The song is sung in English and Latvian. It’s a mixture between a lullaby and a rock-drum song. Denmark will perform in the first half of the second semifinal. Alika wins Eesti Laul 2023

Photo by Mats Oun Alika has won Eesti Laul 2023, and will represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Bridges”!   She went on the Superfinal, together with the rockband Bedwetters, and Ollie. In the end it was between Alika and Ollie, where she took eventual the victory. Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence has reacted to “Bridges”, and called it superstar quality.  You can see the Eesti Laul performance right over here:  We will see Alika in the Second Semi Final on May 11th.

Malta selects an artist… and maybe a song

Malta is the last one tonight to start the national final. The island will have the final of MESC 2023 tonight. The winner will go to the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. However, it is not sure whether the winning song will also be the song in Liverpool or not. The winner will be chosen by 50% jury and 50% televoting. Italy: San Remo final

Today, the annual festival di Sanremo will have it’s final. Before the start of the contest, all the participants were (secretly) able to express their wish to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest. If the winner does not want to go to Liverpool, RAI selects another contestant. Croatia: Dora, the national final, will be held

The Croatian national final for Eurovision, Dora, will be held tonight. The contest contains 18 songs. The Croatian entry will be chosen through 50% televoting and 50% jury.
