Jesper Groth became known in Denmark for his role in the tv series Sygeplejeskolen (The Nursing School). He studied at the National College of Performing Arts for four years until 2015. Laurits Emanuel has been the lead singer of the band The Grenadines for years. The two met at a “Friday bar” – a bar where people start the weekend in Denmark. They have been making music together since 2017. In August 2020 they released their first song “Menneskeforbruger”, with which they were number one on the P3 radio charts for two weeks. Because of the success, the two got a record deal. The second single “Kamæleon” followed in December 2020. At the final of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2021, they narrowly prevailed with their song “Øve os på hinanden”. This also made them one of the Danish participants in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Unfortunately they did not qualify for the final. In August of the same year, the duo released the single “Hemmelighed”, followd in March 2022 by “Hvem tror du egentlig du er”. Meanwhile, their debut album “Fyr og Flamme” reached the first place in the Danish album charts. In April and May 2022 they are having a tour throughout Denmark. Denmark: Fyr og Flamme wins Melodi Grand Prix

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2021 is won by the duo Fyr og Flamme with the song “Øve os på hinanden”. Fyr og Flamme will thus represent Denmark in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam and will perform in the 2nd semifinal. Tonight: Dansk Melodi Grand Prix

Tonight is also the night for Denmark: in their national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, eight entries will fight for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. The show starts at 20.00 CET and you can watch it here. The songs are: Nanna Olivia – Hvileløse hjerter Fyr & Flamme – Øve os på hinanden Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn – Højt over skyerne Mike Tramp – Everything is Alright Claudia Campagnol – Abracadabra The Cosmic Twins – Silver Bullet Emma Nicoline – Står Lige Her Jean Michel – Beautiful Mike Tramp represented Denmark in the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the band Mabel, singing the song “Boom Boom”. Chief1 wrote two Danish Eurovision entries: “Should’ve known better” for Soluna Samay in 2012 and “The way you are” for the Anti Social Media in 2015.

Allocation draw 2020 will be the same in 2021

As the countries participating in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest will be the same as in 2020, the allocation draw also will be the same. Eurovision.tv just confirmed that the 41 participating countries agreed on that. That means, the countries will perform in the same part of the same semifinal as was planned for the 2020 contest. Of course, the following order will be decided when all the songs are known. The allocation draw was, and is: 1st semifinal, 1st part: North Macedonia Belarus Lithuania Sweden Slovenia Australia Ireland Russia 1st semifinal, 2nd part: Norway Cyprus Croatia Azerbaijan Malta Israel Ukraine Romania Belgium 2nd semifinal, 1st part: Austria Moldova Poland San Marino Serbia Iceland Czech Republic Greece Estonia Germany, Italy and The Netherlands will also be able to vote in this semifinal. 2nd semifinal, 2nd part: Denmark Bulgaria Switzerland Finland Armenia Latvia Georgia Portugal Albania France, Spain and the United Kingdom will also be able to vote in this semifinal.

Iceland wins Eurostream2020!

After an exciting voting, Iceland has won Eurostream2020, the online alternative for the Eurovision Song Contest. After a wonderful evening, we now know who might have won the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. It’s Daði & Gagnamagnið who reached the first place. Congratulations, til hamingju Ísland!!Iceland was the winner of both the experts and the televoters. Almost 10.000 people voted in the contest. This made it, despite the technichal problems, a great show. We would like to thank the makers of Eurostream 2020 to let us enjoy the three shows this week! This week: Eurostream 2020!!

Of course, we would have loved to keep you updated for the rehearsals of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. But unfortunately, that is impossible.Thank goodness, this week we can follow Eurostream 2020, a great alternative for the contest.On Tuesday, may 5th, you can watch the first semifinal show. On thurday, may 7th, you can watch the second one. Of course, upcoming saturday we will have the Grand Final!!! You can watch them on the Eurostream Youtube Channel or Facebook Page.And guess what: YOU are able to vote in it. Iceland wins “Der kleine Song Contest”

In Austria, they had their own song contest this year. Divided over three shows, an expert jury chose three songs to be judged by Austrian televoters. And the winner is…. Iceland! Daði  & Gagnamagnið got 48% of the votes with their song “Think about things”, while Austria was the runner up with 33%. Malta became 3rd with 19% of the votes. Ben & Tan in Denmark

Ben & Tan won the Danish national final. The final had a special touch, because due to the corona virus it was transmitted without audience. The winning song “Yes” was written and composed by Emil Lei, Jimmy Jansson and Linnea Deb.
