Biography
Niels Brinck Kristensen, more popularly known as Brinck, was born on September 24, 1974, in Aabyhøj, Denmark. From a young age, he exhibited a strong inclination towards music, which would eventually shape his career.
Brinck’s journey in the music industry is marked by his dual talents: singing and songwriting. Over the years, he has penned and produced songs for various Danish artists, showcasing his versatility and depth as a songwriter. His style, characterized by emotionally-charged lyrics and a unique blend of pop-rock, resonated with a wide audience.
One of the defining moments of Brinck’s career was his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009. Held in Moscow, Russia, Brinck took to the stage representing Denmark with the song “Believe Again”. The track, co-written with Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Larsson, and the renowned Irish singer Ronan Keating, managed to capture the hearts of many. Brinck’s stellar performance secured him a place in the contest’s final, and he finished in a commendable 13th position.
In 2013, Brinck participated in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, again, this time with the song “Human”. Unfortunately he didn’t reach the superfinal in the contest.
Beyond Eurovision, Brinck continued to make waves in the music industry. He has released numerous albums and singles that reflect his evocative style. Songs like “In the End I Started”, “The Chance”, and, of course, “Believe Again” have cemented his reputation as a notable figure in Danish pop music.
