She was born in London in 1990 and grew up in Hamburg. At the age of four, she began dancing ballet. She attended Gymnasium and completed her school education in 2010. After school, she moved to New York, where she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and completed a two-year acting training. In 2011, Ann Sophie started performing her own songs in bars. In 2012, she recorded her first EP called “Time” and later released a music video for “Get Over Yourself.” Her first studio album, “Time Extended,” was released in October 2012. In September 2014, she applied for the wildcard of the show “Unser Song für Österreich,” the German qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She sang the song “Get Over Yourself”. A panel of experts selected her as one of ten artists from 1270 applications. In February 2015, she performed at the club concert with the song “Jump the Gun,” written by Beatgees, Katrina Noorbergen, and Laila Samuels, and received the wildcard. In March 2015, Ann Sophie competed against seven other artists in the German national selection. She performed her songs “Jump the Gun” and “Black Smoke” and qualified for the final with the latter. Although she lost in the viewer voting to Andreas Kümmert, who later withdrew from the competition, citing personal reasons for not feeling ready to perform in Vienna. He passed the opportunity to Ann Sophie, who officially became the German representative for Eurovision. In the final of the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2015 in Vienna, her song “Black Smoke” received zero points, placing 26th and last together with Austria’s entry. From 2016 to 2018, she performed various concerts, presenting her own music acoustically with a small ensemble. As a soloist, she toured with Andrej Hermlin’s Swing Dance Orchestra. Since the beginning of 2019, she has been covering her favorite songs on her YouTube channel, Live-Sessions. In 2021, she participated in the singing talent show The Voice of Germany and reached the semifinals. In 2014, Ann Sophie played the lead role in the karaoke comedy “Tussipark” by Christian Kühn at Comödie Dresden. In 2018, she made her musical debut in the role of Gloria in the musical Flashdance and served as the understudy for the role of Alex Owen. From September 2019 to March 2020, she played the lead role of Indigo in the musical “Cirque Du Soleil Paramour” at the Neue Flora in Hamburg. In June and July 2022, she performed as Alex Owen in “Flashdance” once again at the Walensee stage. Since 2008 he regularly uploaded cover versions of songs to YouTube. He mostly accompanied himself with the guitar. In total, his videos have been viewed over 50 million times. In 2010, he signed a record contract. In 2011 he took part in The Voice of Germany. Michael Schulte reached the final became 3rd. With his title “Carry Me Home” he reached the top 10 of the German charts. In 2012 he released a debut album, “Wide Awake” which became number 1 on the German charts. Most of the songs on the album were written by Schulte himself. In December 2012 he released an EP “Grow Old with Me”, including his second single “You Said You’d Grow Old with Me”. Schulte made a tour in spring 2013 and presented his album throughout Germany. He played a total of 29 concerts, one of which was in Vienna. In November 2013, he published the Christmas album “My Christmas Classics”. He also accompanied the British boy group Blue in the preparatory program for their tour of Germany. In February 2014, Schulte released a new single, “Rock and Scissors” and a new album “The arising”. He was awarded the PlayAward in the Music category at the VideoDays in Cologne. From March 2017, he played the role of Micha in the three-part television series Neomaniacs. In April 2017, he released a new album: “Hold the Rhythm”. In 2018, he represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “You let me walk alone”. Being one of the favorites in the contest, Schulte reached a 4th place for Germany. In june 2018,”Die Kinder der toten Stadt – Musikdrama gegen das Vergessen” was released; it was both a musical for radio and an album. Schulte played one of the main roles. The play tells of the children captured in Theresienstadt, their lives there and their murder in the Nazi death camps. In 2019, a new album appeared called “Highs and lows”. His single “Back to the start” hit the German charts. In 2020, when the Eurovision Song Contest was canceled, Schulte sang in the replacement show Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light, in duet with Ilse Delange. Laura Kästel, stage name Laurita Spinelli, (29 september 1992) was born in Königsau but currently lives in Wiesbaden. When she was 10 years old, she won a children’s song contest on ZDF tv, and a year later she participated in the casting show ‘Star reach’. She was a backing vocal for a.o. Sarah Connor and Stefanie Heinzmann, and currently for Lena. She is also the lead singer of a band called Waterproof. In October 2020 she released her first solo single “Stumm” under the pseudonym Laurita Spinelli.
