On the current pictures, the triangle structure behind the band is more visible and notable. Furthermore, it gives the same impression. Germany is currently 15th at the bookmakers. France is currently strongly on the 3rd place in the betting odds. There are even people who talk about the French song as the potential winner. So who knows…. Italy Marco Mengoni has returned to perform on stage and has changed his outfit. He is no longer wearing the silver vest he wore on Thursday. Instead, he is now wearing a longer silver vest that gradually fades from silver to black, giving it an ombre effect. To create a cohesive look, sparkles have been added to one side of his leather trousers. Italy is currently number 8 at the bookmakers. Liverpool live: Fireworks, LED-screens and a moon

This is the day when we first see the Big 5 and Ukraine to rehearse. Singer Chris ‘Lord’ Harms wears a collar of flames. The band is elevated on a triangular metal structure, adorned with red and black LEDs, and an unrelenting flashing light display that persists throughout the entire three-minute performance. And of course we spot a lot of fireworks in the performance. France La Zarra is standing on a tall, moving column covered in sparkly black fabric that goes all the way to the ground. The column has a mirror-tiled top, and La Zarra is wearing a fitted gown made entirely of black and red sequins. She is singing her heart out on top of the column, and there’s a French flag displayed on the LED wall behind her at the end of her performance. Italy Marco Mengoni sings his ballad while standing alone on stage. Marco is wearing leather trousers and a silver sparkly vest, while a backdrop of swirling clouds on an LED wall. An oversized moon provide a dramatic visual setting. Ukraine TVORCHI-member Jeffrey wears a black suit covered with gold images. Andrii wears black clothes with a silver jacket over it. During their performance, TVORCHI effectively utilize lighting and an LED wall, with four boxes on stage providing a backdrop for their two dancers dressed in black. Their are big flames during the performance. Spain The staging for Blanca Paloma’s performance resembles the setup seen during Benidorm Fest in January. It features two fringed red semi-circular structures at the center of the stage, forming a circle where Blanca and her five dancers perform. The background is set aglow with black, red, and white lighting. There has been some low smoke during the performance. United Kingdom Mae Muller wears a corset jacket and black trousers, and commences her performance on a raised plinth before the LED wall. The wall features pop art-style graphics. At the beginning, there’s a section where Mae’s face splits horizontally, giving the impression that she’s inside her own head, which enhances the pop video quality of the performance. four dancers dressed in black and red accompany Mae, particularly during the second half of the performance, when they join Mae at the front of the stage for a synchronized dance routine. in collaboration with Eurovision Artists

Lord of the Lost was founded by Chris Harms in mid-2007. Harms was previously active as a singer and guitarist in the rock band Philiae from 1999 to 2004 and from 2004 as a guitarist and second singer in the glam metal band The Pleasures. Originally he just called himself Lord. Musician friends quickly joined and a band developed from the planned solo project. In two months, fans and sponsors raised $12,775, surpassing the previous goal of $10,000. In March 2015, Lord of the Lost released a new album: “Swan Songs”. In 2015 Lord of the Lost released the EP “Full Metal Whore”. The tour for the album was themed Make Love Make War. In December 2015, “A Night to Remember – Live Acoustic in Hamburg”, the DVD and live CD for the spring acoustic tour, was released. The first single from the album “Empyrean” was titled “The Love of God”. It was released in May 2016. This was followed by the band’s first major European tour, Make Europe Great Again (M.E.G.A.). “Empyrean” was released in late July 2016 and is the second concept album after “Antagony”. Various festival appearances followed In December 2016, guitarist Bo Six announced his departure from the band for professional and personal reasons. In March 2020, a ZDF documentary was released, which accompanied the band and the senior choir Heaven Can Wait from Hamburg while recording a song together. After Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris praised the band in the British version of the magazine Metal Hammer, Lord of the Lost should appear as a support act for some shows of their tour in summer 2020. Due to COVID19, the tour had to be postponed repeatedly. In 2022 it was realized and resulted in 18 support shows in 16 countries. With the song “Blood and Glitter”, Lord of the won Unser Lied für Liverpool, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. As the German representatives, they were able to meet the British king Charles III and queen Camilla. Unfortunately, they ended up in last place in the Grand Final of Eurovision. Germany: Lord Of The Lost has won Unser Lied Für Liverpool

The annual German selection has taken place tonight. A lot of new talent has performed tonight, but the ultimate winner was Lord Of The Lost with “Blood & Glitter”. The Gothic band isn’t fully unknown troughout Europe, as they have toured with the popular Metal band Iron Maiden. The tour resulted in multiple hit singles, and even in giving it a shot on the Eurovision stage. They were given a tough spot, as they had to compete against the popular Ikke Hüftgold who won the TikTok wildcard. This year’s jury for Unser Lied Für Liverpool was fully made out of former Eurovision artists, like Jamala, The Roop’s frontman Vaidotas, and Gjon’s Tears. Their favorite act of the night was Will Church with “Hold On”. Their least favorite act was Ikke, who had only recieved 10 points. The public didn’t agree with that, as Ikke was the second most voted-on artist of the night. Will Church on the other hand only got eight points. In the end Lord Of The Lost won, with a 78 point difference. They will represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest. Because Germany is one of the Big Five countries, they are already qualified for the final on may 13th. Germany decides tonight

Germany will select it’s entry tonight. Out of the 9 entries you’ll find below, one will be selected by international juries (50%) and televoters (online/tele/SMS). Ben Dolic: “I would like to come back as a songwriter”

Photo made by Zlatimir Arakliev This week the 2020 representative for Germany held a Twitter Space, and our reporter Kal had the chance to interview him. But how is Ben doing as of today? What are his upcoming plans? How does he feel about Eurovision these days? Ben told us everything. “I’m doing good! Right now we’re busy with my next single, and we’ve already got a location for the music video! Just like ‘Kissing Her, Missing you’, we’re shooting it in London again. We also have some plans for merch, but that has got to wait a little longer.” Kal: “New music? That’s always great to hear, but since there’s so much new music coming out, does this also mean there’s an album coming along the way?” Ben answered that “It takes a lot of time to make an album, ‘cause there’s so much that needs to be done. But maybe in about a year or two I might drop one.” Kal then asked how it is to perform at gigs now that everything opened up again. Ben: “It’s great now that the pandemic is kind of over, but I don’t perform that much. I still need some more tunes to sing. Maybe if I and some friends put a set list together for a festival or something, maybe than we can gather a crowd.” Kal: Now everything’s back open again, however this wasn’t the case in 2020. How do you feel about missing out on performing at Eurovision? Ben said that “It of course sucked. The week everything closed down, I was actually about to fly to the Caribbean Islands to film my postcard. It sucked that we didn’t get to see the end result of ‘Violent Thing’, but at least the German broadcaster put together a small Eurovision show, and I got to perform it there.” Kal was stunned to hear that Eurovision would go so far for postcards. After that he asked if Ben would ever return to Eurovision. Ben: “For now I wouldn’t say yes again to be the representative for a country. For a whole year you focus your life around one song, and it’s that song only. However I would like to come back as a song writer, or creative director in some sort of way.” Kal: I have always wondered what the staging for ‘Violent Thing’ was about to look like, so if you can maybe spill some details, then I would love that.” Ben answered that the staging was going to look very futuristic. “So the staging was about look like the German Eurovision show one, but way better. There would be pictures and videos that would kinda float in front of me, and it would look as if I’m in the future. The main colours of the staging would like the cover art, mainly red and blue.
