In fact, it was already a strong rumour the last few days, but this morning, it is confirmed: James Newman will represent the United Kingdom in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. The song is called “My last breath” and is written and composed by James himself, Iain Farquharson, Adam Argyle and Edward Drewett. Farquharson, a.k.a. Iain James, co-wrote the 2011 winning Eurovision song “Running scared” for Azerbaijan.
James Newman is the brother of hitsinger John Newman and wrote several hits himself. He worked together with a.o. Calvin Harris and Armin van Buuren.
