Eurovision in Concert: april 10 2021

Save the date! April 10 2021 will be the new date for Eurovision In Concert. The organizers of Eurovision In Concert announced the news today. The event will, just as it was planned this year, take place in Afas Live in Amsterdam.

If you bought tickets for this year’s EIC, they will still be valid next year. If you have tickets for this year, but will not be able to attend EIC next year, you will soon hear from the organizers what to do.

Of course nobody knows how the Corona crisis will develop, but at least we have the first 2021 event to look forward to!

Dutch broadcaster delays decision on participation

The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has been allowed to delay their decision about participating in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes Eurovision, has given them until at least November 1 to decide. AVROTROS explained that a meeting with the EBU’s leadership has started a positive conversation. To give this conversation a chance, they asked for more time to decide if they will participate. The EBU agreed to this delay, and AVROTROS is thankful for it. Recently, Swedish authorities closed the case, saying there wasn’t enough evidence. Next year’s Eurovision will take place in May in Basel, Switzerland.
