Biography

Miriana Conte was born on 17 December 2000 in Ħal Qormi, Malta. She began her music career in her teens and became a recurring presence in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. In 2017, she took part in MESC with the song Don’t Look Down, finishing in 16th place. The following year, she returned with Rocket, placing 12th. After a break, she competed again in 2022 with Look What You’ve Done Now, which placed 6th, and in 2024 with Venom, which finished 9th. In 2025, she won MESC with the song Kant, securing both the jury and public votes. Due to concerns from the European Broadcasting Union over the title’s phonetic similarity to an English expletive, the song was retitled Serving and the lyrics were adjusted.

Outside of MESC, Conte also participated in X Factor Malta. In 2018, she joined the girl group 4th Line, which reached the live shows in the competition’s first season. The following year, she auditioned as a solo artist for season two but did not advance to the live shows. In addition to her television appearances, she contributed vocals to the 2019 Maltese Pride Week anthem Roll the Dice.

Her discography includes several singles, such as “Don’t Look Down” (2017), “Rocket” (2018), “Look What You’ve Done Now” (2022), “Venom” (2024), and “Serving” (2025). Her musical style blends pop, R&B, and soul influences.

In 2025, following her national selection win, Conte signed a record deal with Sony Music. She represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, performing Serving in the second semi-final. Originally, the song was called “Kant”. However, the EBU did not allow the line “I’m serving Kant” as it sounded too much like “I’m serving cunt”. Miriana reached the final with the song and a 17th place in that Grand Final.
