Another Summer Night : Måneskin

Måneskin was formed in 2016 in Rome. They represented Italy in the Eurovision Songcontest 2020, held in Rotterdam – The Netherlands on May 22, 2021. They won the contest with their song ” Zitti e buoni”  Today… as summer ends, this will be the last Summerparty for this year. Kalomira

Another Summer Night – Kalomira

(Maria) Kalomira (Carol Sarantis) is a Greek-American artist. She was born and raised on Long Island, just outside New York.  At the end of 2007, Heaven Music chose Kalomira to be their contestant in the 2008 National Final to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 held in Serbia Kalomira picked an R&B style upbeat song with a Greek feel,  titled “Secret Combination” In the first semifinal, held on May 20, 2008, Kalomira fared well, coming in first place. Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Lena – Satellite

Today we continue the Eurovision Universe Summer Party with an absolute banger from 2010. Satellite is the winning German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. Lena Meyer-Landrut represented the country with the song, composed by Julie Frost and John Gordon. The German entry won with flying colours, with a total of 246 points. Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Destiny – Je me casse

Destiny (Chukunyere) came to Rotterdam to win the Eurovision Songcontest 2021, as she won the Junior Eurovision Songcontest 2015, where she also represented Malta with ” Not my Soul “ To her great disappointment she only finished 7th. Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Baccara – Parlez-vous français?

Baccara is a female vocal duo formed in 1977 by Spanish artists Mayte Mateos and María Mendiola . The pair rapidly achieved international success with their debut single “Yes Sir, I Can Boogie”, which reached number one across much of Europe and became the best-selling single of all-time by a female group, eventually selling more than 18 million copies worldwide. A successful follow-up single (“Sorry, I’m a Lady”) and European tour led to a number of album releases and numerous television appearances. Baccara was selected to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978  with the song: “Parlez-vous français?”, and finished in seventh place. Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Dana International – Diva

Dana International (Sharon Cohen) was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, on February 2, 1969.  At 18 years of age, Cohen earned a living as a drag queen, parodying many famous female singers. During one of her performances, she was discovered by Offer Nissim, a well-known Israeli DJ, who produced her debut single “Saida Sultana” (“The Great Saida”), a satirical version of Whitney Houston’s song “My Name Is Not Susan”. The song received considerable exposure and helped launch her career as a professional singer.  In 1993 Dana released her first album “Danna International”  The album reached gold in Israel.  In 1995, Dana attempted to fulfill her childhood dream of performing in the Eurovision Song Contest.[9] She entered the Eurovision qualifying contest in Israel with a song entitled “Layla Tov, Eropa” (“Good Night Europe”) which finished second in the pre-selections, but became another hit single. In 1998 her dream came true. Dana was chosen to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham with the song “Diva”. Orthodox Jews and others with conservative views were opposed to the choice and attempted to void her participation in the contest. Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Soraya – La noche e para mí

Soraya (Arnelas) was born in n Valencia de Alcántara, Spain on 13 September 1982.  Her début album Corazón De Fuegowas released on 5 December 2005. The album got Platinum status. By the end of 2008, she submitted one of the songs from her latest album, Sin Miedo, “La noche es para mí” to the Spanish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Russia, being considered the early favourite to represent the country. She was finally chosen to represent Spain on 28 February 2009. Soraya’s Eurovision team consisted of a Swedish songwriting team. She heavily promoted in Sweden in the months leading up to the contest. Being an automatic finalist representing Spain, she performed in the 25th position on Final night, finishing second to last. However, juries and televoters did not vote for the song, and it finished in the twenty fourth place.   Follow our Summerparty: YouTube and Spotify
