Moldova: Natalia Gordienko to sing “Sugar”

It was already known for a longer time: “Sugar” is the song Natalia Gordienko is going to sing for Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight, in a show from Moscow, the song was presented. Why Moscow? Well, it’s not that strange, as Philipp Kirkorov is one of the composers. He is accompanied by Dimitris Kontopoulos. Sharon Vaughn is responsible for the lyrics. Together they make up the so-called ‘Dream team’. Natalia Gordienko is not new to Eurovision. In 2006 she represented Moldova together with Arsenium and Connect-R. They sang “Loca”. Last year, Natalia was supposed to represent Moldova with the song “Prison”. This year, she got a new chance.

Romania: Roxen sings “Amnesia”

It was supposed to be happening tonight at 20:00, but the song leaked before that: “Amnesia”, the song Roxen is going to sing in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The song is written and composed by Adelina Stinga and Victor Bourosu. Roxen will perform in the first semifinal. Roxen was chosen to represent Romania in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Her song was “Alcohol you”. We all know why it didn’t happen.

Belgium: Hooverphonic sings “The wrong place”

Hooverphonic presented its Eurovision Song this morning. The song will be called “The wrong place”. Last year, Hooverphonic was already supposed to represent Belgium, but we all know why that didn’t happen. The group had the song “Release me” ready for Rotterdam. But another thing happened for the group: they decided to replace singer Luca Kruysberghs for Geike Arnaert. Geike had been the Hooverphonic singer from 1997 until 2008.
