During his studies at the Academy of Physical Education, he was educated as a sports teacher. He won the bronze medal of the Polish Academic Championships in wrestling in 2006. Due to a spine injury, he ended his sports career . He began his musical career in 2002 with the participation in the television program Szansa na sukces, in which he won a distinction . Previously, he performed with Marcin Kiljan in the K.Martin band. In 2003 he became a member of the band Emigranci. He was also a member of the group Mono. In autumn 2011, he took part in The Voice of Poland. His coach was Andrzej Piaseczny. Rafał was eliminated just before the final. In the same year, he released two singles: “Nie mam nic” and “Na dobre masz zawsze mnie”. In 2012, he released the single “Tak blisko”, for which he received the TV audience award at the Eska Music Awards 2012 gala. The song took the second place on the AirPlay charts . He also won a prize at the Russian Song Festival. On August 7, 2012, he released his debut studio album, entitled “Tak blisko”. In September 2014, he released his second studio album entitled “Mój czas”. In the same year, he took part in the released a Christmas album. In 2017, he became 2nd in the Polish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Sky over Europe”. In 2020, with the song he qualified for the “Premier” concert at the 57th KFPP in Opole with the song “Gentleman”. In May 2021, he represented Poland in the 65th Eurovision Song Contest with the song “The Ride”. In the summer of 2021 he performed during the TVP2 Summer, Music, Fun tour. Summer tour. He is the son of a Czech mother and an Angolese father.  In 2009 he was in finalist of Czech Slovak Superstar, where he finished 7th.  In 2010, he released his debut album “Definitely Different” A year later he already released the  second album “Benny Cristo”. One of the songs, “Cheers”, became a hit. Benny Cristo opened for stars such as Far East Movement and Pitbull.In 2013, Benny and his video “Bombs”  were nominated for video clip of the year. Ben also  participated in a political project, which called for the 2013 elections and warned against the return of communists and inclinations to Russia. In the same year, he released his third album “Made In Czechoslovakia”.In 2015, Ben Cristovao performed in the sold-out Forum Karlín in Prague. In 2016, he was awarded the Czech Nightingale award in the category Most Streamed Czech Song. He did not receive the award personally and said that he did not want to be in the same room with the band Ortel, which is known for its xenophobic lyrics.  In 2017  Ben released the album “Poslední”. This album wasn’t released on a classic CD, but fans could download it via a QR code on a T-shirt with special graphics. In September 2017 Benny Cristo performed in Prague’s Yellow Spa for 4000 people. The recording of several songs from this concert was released in video form via VR glasses. In 2019 Ben gave his biggest concert so far at the O2 arena in Prague. In 2020 he was chosen to represent the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Kemama”. Unfortunately, due to the corona crisis, that didn’t happen. However, Czech Television chose Benny again to represent the Czech Republic in 2021 with the song “Omaga”.In addition to his musical career, Ben is an active athlete, has been a top-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu in recent years, and has toured around the world. Also, he is a convinced vegan and an animal rights activist. Lundvik was born in London of a young woman from Kuwait and was adopted when he was a week old to a Swedish couple working there. The family lived in London until he was six years old. They then moved to Växjö, where he grew up.As a sprinter, Lundvik was a member of IFK Växjö’s relay team in 2005, which took the SM bronze at 4×100 meters.His musical career started when Lundvik co-wrote the song “When You Tell the World You’re Mine”, which was performed by Björn Skifs and Agnes Carlsson at the wedding of the Swedish Crown Princess in 2010. He has been songwriter for artists such as Isac Elliot, Anton Ewald and Sanna Nielsen, and has written film music for the movie Snabba Cash. In Melodifestivalen 2014, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, John wrote Anton Ewald’s contribution “Natural”. He participated in Allsång at Skansen in August 2016, among others in duet with Lill Lindfors. John Lundvik competed in Melodifestivalen 2018 with the song “My Turn”. As a voice actor, John Lundvik also did the voice for “Simba” in the new Lion King movie in 2019.  where he came in third place in the final. The same year he won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Too Late for Love”. Lundvik also was one of the songwriters for the song “Bigger than Us”, sung by Michael Rice who represented the United Kingdom. In 2020, Lundvik co-wrote the French song for the Eurovision Song Contest Tom Leeb was supposed to sing.
