Although born in Prague, he is currently living in Vienna. During his studies at age 17, Mikolas received the highest award from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, a gold medal with solo acting distinction, but he did not want to pursue this industry in the future. He also attended a number of fashion shows and photo shoots for leading fashion brands such as Diesel, Replay and Prada. However, he soon gave up his career as a model, mainly because of the insincerity and over-prioritization of the money he says is in the industry. In 2015 he debuted with the song “Hands Bloody”, which he recorded at his own expense. In 2016, two other singles were released: “Free”, which was his first self written song to become a hit in the Czech charts, and “Believe.” In November 2017 he presented his fourth single, “Lie to Me” , with which he also entered the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. He won and represented the Czech Republic in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. At the end of July of the same year, he released the Spanish version of his single “Lie to Me”. In early October, he introduced the single “Me Gusta”, on which he collaborated with Swedish composer Joacim Persson. In 2018, Mikola appeared in the selection of 18 inspirational personalities of 2018 in Forbes magazine. In early February 2019, Mikolas Josef released his sixth single “Abu Dhabi”. In the same year, he was the main face of an advertising campaign for Tezenis underwear. In May, he teamed up with Fito Blanko and Frankie J to release his single “Acapella”, number 1 in the Czech charts and also a huge hit in Poland, where it was awarded a gold disk in 2021. Also the songs that followed, Colorado (2019) and “Lalalalalalalalalala” (2020) became hits in both countries. In 2021, Mikolas appeared in a commercial for Skoda. Entries Lie To Me Country????????
