Eurovision Universe Summer Party: Lena – Satellite

Today we continue the Eurovision Universe Summer Party with an absolute banger from 2010. Satellite is the winning German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. Lena Meyer-Landrut represented the country with the song, composed by Julie Frost and John Gordon. The German entry won with flying colours, with a total of 246 points. Where are we going to in 2022?

One thing is for sure: we go to Italy in 2022. However, there are a lot of options. But we don’t have more specific information yet. As you could have read here, Italian broadcaster RAI started a bid process. No less than 17 (!!) cities and regions submitted their candidacy, being: Acireale Alessandria Bertinoro di Romagna Bologna Florence Genoa Jesolo Matera Milan Palazzolo Acreide Pesaro Rimini Rome Sanremo Turin Trieste Viterbo   Tomorrow, RAI will provide these cities and regions bid books. Before the 4th of august, they all have to submit their full details. It is likely that, the more cities know, the more cities withdraw. Two years ago, even Amsterdam decided to withdraw as none of the venues there was available.

UEFA: THE FINAL!!

Tonight is the night: we will find out who wins the final of the UEFA European Soccer Championship! The match is between England and Italy. And what else can we do than provide you winners? Four times, an English singer or a (partly) English group won for the UK. It all started with Sandie Shaw in 1967; Brotherhood of Man in 1976; Bucks Fizz in 1981 and Katrina & The Waves in 1997. Italy won the contest three times. Back in 1964, Gigliola Cinquetti got the prize, followed by Toto Cutugno in 1990. And…. this year, it was the popular band Måneskin who got the award!
