Biography

Tamara Živković is a Montenegrin singer and flutist. She is known for her powerful voice and emotional performances. Živković rose to prominence through regional music competitions and recently achieved a major milestone by winning Montesong 2025, Montenegro’s national song contest, earning the right to represent Montenegro at Eurovision 2026. Her journey from local music festivals to the international Eurovision stage highlights her dedication and growth as an artist.

Early Life and Musical Training

Tamara Živković was born in Kotor, a coastal town in Montenegro. She completed both primary and secondary music school in her hometown, focusing on flute performance. As a flutist, Tamara won multiple awards at national and international competitions for wind instruments. After high school, she enrolled at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade to further hone her flute skills. This strong classical background laid the foundation for her singing career.

Early Performances and Rising Fame

Tamara’s singing journey began in childhood. At age 10, she joined her school choir and soon became a soloist. Tamara performed in well-known children’s festivals like Zlatna Pahulja and Naša Radost. By 2016, at age 15, she competed on Pinkove Zvezdice, a popular TV contest for young singers.

In the early 2020s, Tamara’s fame grew beyond Montenegro. She auditioned for Zvezde Granda, a highly rated Balkan singing competition. Tamara progressed all the way to the finals. As the only Montenegrin singer in that season’s finale, she placed 14th out of 16 finalists. Tamara’s performances spanned pop, rock, and even ethno genres, showcasing her versatility and strong vocal talent. Her exposure on Zvezde Granda introduced her to a wider regional audience and solidified her status as a rising star.

Montenegrin National Finals

Following her regional TV success, Tamara turned her sights to Montenegro’s Eurovision selection process. She joined Montesong 2024, the national final organized to select Montenegro’s entry for Eurovision 2025. Initially a reserve act, she entered the contest after singer Boban Rajović withdrew. She performed the song “Poguban let”. In the live final on 27 November 2024, Tamara finished in 9th place out of 16 entries.

Montesong 2025 Victory and Eurovision

Just one year later, Tamara returned to the national final stage and achieved her breakthrough.
