Biography

The group was put together by radio man Tor Andersen, and was supposed to give a three week summer show with sixties music at Oliver restaurant in Sarpsborg. Instead, there were five months in Sarpsborg with full house. After that, they took the show on a Norwegian tour and later for a longer stay at Oslo Plaza. When NRK canceled  Melodi Grand Prix in 1991, Just 4 Fun was chosen to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in Rome with the song “Mrs. Thompson”. The group released two albums. The members continued as solo artists, but in the spring of 2008 they were all gathered for a successful reunion in Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad. Member Eiríkur Hauksson also represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and 2007. Member Hanne Krogh represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest  in 1971, and in 1985, as a member of the Bobbysocks. Member Jan Groth died  on August 27, 2014, at the age of 68.
