Senhit represents San Marino

Today, SMRTV, the Sammarinese broadcasting corporation, announced their contestant for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam: it’s gonna be Senhit, formerly known as Senit. This Italian singer with Eritrean roots is going to represent San Marino for the second time. She did the same job in 2011. The song will be chosen via a battle. Two songs, “Freaky!” and “Obsessed”. From tomorrow, 7 march, until 8 march, 23:59 CET, you can vote for them. You can cast your vote here.

Leslie Roy represents Ireland (update!)

This morning it has been announced that Leslie Roy is ging to represent Ireland in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Leslie Roy is known for toe international hits in 2008: “I’m gone ,  I’m wrong” and “Unbeautiful “. Her Eurovision song is called “The story of my life” and will be presented later this morning.  Update: this is the song!

Jeangu Macrooy sings “Grow” for hostcountry

It was already known for two months that Jeangu Macrooy will represent hostcountry The Netherlands in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. However, the song has just been published today. The title of the song is “Grow”. The song is about growing up and realizing there is no manual for life, and the second part talks about a more optimistic view of life.

Gjon’s Tears represent Switzerland

Switzerland officially announced their contestant today: Gjon’s Tears. It is the stage name of Gjon Muharremaj, a Swiss singer of Kosovar roots. The song he is going to sing is in French and it is called “Répondez-moi”. The song is written and composed by Alize and Xavier Michel, Jeroen Swinnen and Gjon himself. Switzerland will perform in the second semifinal.

Eden Alene sings Feker libi in Rotterdam

Photo: instagram Eden Alene will sing the song “Feker libi” in Rotterdam at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The song is chosen out of four in a national final that was held tonight. “Feker libi” is written and composed by Doron Medalie, who wrote, among others, “Toy” for Netta. The other composer, Idan Raichel, is a very popular artist in Israel. With his Idan Raichel Project, he performed during last years Eurovision Song Contest as an interval act during the Grand Final, Eden herself was already chosen in an earlier stage through the show “Hakokhav Haba L’Eurovision”. The full result of the contest is: Roots, 205 pts. Feker libi, 282 pts. Rakata, 139 pts.  Savior in the sound, 94 pts.

Tonight is the night for Eden Alene

It’s already a month ago that the Israeli juries and audience selected Eden Alene to represent their country in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, but tonight they will make a choice out of four songs. This is Tornike’s song for Georgia!

Today, the Georgian song for the Eurovision Song Contest is published. On december 31 of last year, Tornike Kipiani was chosen to represent the country in the contest by winning Georgian Idol. The song was to be presented later… and that is now. The song is called “Take me as I am”. The song is written and composed by Tornike himself.

Little Big Band to represent Russia!
