Maro is chosen as the winner of Festival Da Canção 2022 and will thus represent Portugal in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin. The song “Saudade, saudade” is written and composed by the singer herself together with John Blanda. Portugal will sing in the 2nd half of the 1st semifinal. In Söngvakeppninn, the Icelandic final for the Eurovision Song Contest, Sigga, Beta and Elín are chosen as the winner. They will sing the song “Með hækkandi sól”, written and composed by Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir. Iceland will perform in the 2nd half of the 1st semifinal.
