🇦🇲 Armenia presented their song

Armenia presented their song today. Only a few days ago, Armenian TV announced that the French/Armenian duo Ladaniva represents the country in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. Now we know the song: “Jako”. The song is sung in Armenian; lyrics and music are from the duo itself, but the song is co-composed by Audrey Leclercq.  Armenia will perform in the first half of the 2nd semifinal; this is the song:

🇬🇪 Georgia: This is how “Firefighter” sounds

“Firefighter” is the title of the Georgian entry. Nutsa Buzaladze was already chosen some time ago to represent Georgia in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. Her song is written and composed by Ada Skidka and Darko Dimitrov. Dimitrov pens the Georgian entry for the first time. However, he has written the North Macedonian entry on 6 occasions, the Serbian one 3 times and also 1 Montenegrin Eurovision Song. 🇦🇺 Electric Fields represents Australia

Electric Fields represents Australia in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. They will sing the song “One Milkali (One Blood)”. That is what EBU and Australian broadcaster SBS announced this evening.  Electric Fields, an Australian electronic duo, unites Zaachariaha Fielding’s stunning vocals with Michael Ross’s production prowess. Blending electric-soul with Aboriginal languages, they’ve created a sound that’s both innovative and deeply rooted in their cultural heritage. Since forming in 2015, they’ve released an EP, several singles, and have been recognized with awards, reflecting their significant impact on music and culture. Their journey includes a nearly successful bid to represent Australia at Eurovision 2019, leading up to their confirmed participation in 2024 with “One Milkali (One Blood).” Celebrated for their artistry and advocacy, Electric Fields stand as influential figures in modern Australian music, bridging cultural divides with their powerful, emotive performances. 🇦🇹 Kaleen’s “We will rave” published

Today, also the Austrian entry “We will rave” has been published. Kaleen will represent the country. Where countries like Switzerland, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Cyprus published their entry with much publicity, it went completely different in Austria. The song was leaked, and this morning it was published on Spotify. Meanwhile, there is also an audio version published on Kaleen’s Youtube channel. The song “We will rave” is written and composed by Jimmy Thörnfeld, Anderz Wrethov, Julie Aagaard and Thomas Stengaard.

🇨🇾 Cyprus: This is how Silia’s “Liar” sounds

Today, Cyprus announced their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Silia Kapsis was already known as the Cypriot contestant. The song is called “Liar” and is written and composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elke Tiel. Kontopoulos wrote no less than 10 (!!) songs for the Eurovision Song Contest before and would have written 3 songs for the 2020 contest. This is the song “Liar”:

🇳🇱 Netherlands: Joost Klein sings “Europapa”

Joost Klein will represent The Netherlands, as we all know already. Today, in the tv-show Avondshow met Arjen Lubach, Joost presented his song “Europapa”.  “Surreal, I feel honoured I can do this. I can show the art my friends and I work together. The artwork is in a gallery for a few moments. The song is very Dutch, I tried to make it as Dutch as possible. 🇨🇭 Nemo will represent Switzerland

Rapper Nemo is chosen to represent Switzerland in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. That is what Swiss TV SRG/SSR announced today. will sing the song “The Code”. Nemo will perform in the first half of the 2nd semifinal. Nemo Mettler, born August 3, 1999, widely known as Nemo, is a multi-talented Swiss artist renowned for their skills in rapping, singing, and musical prowess on the violin, piano, and drums.  Nemo’s EP “Clownfisch” in 2015 made waves by reaching number 95 on the Swiss charts, while their 2017 single “Du” soared to number 4 in Switzerland. Additionally, Nemo showcased their versatility on the second season of The Masked Singer Switzerland (2021/2022), where they delighted audiences as a panda and secured fifth place. The exciting announcement of Nemo as Switzerland’s representative for Eurovision 2024 with “The Code” came on February 29, 2024. In a significant personal revelation, Mettler publicly identified as non-binary in November 2023 through an article in the SonntagsZeitung. They expressed a preference for the use of their given name instead of traditional pronouns in German and embraced the gender-neutral “they/them” in English. This is the song:

Today, three countries have their song presented.  Switzerland Rumour has it that Nemo is the artist representing Switzerland. However, we officially don’t know anything until 11.00 CET. You can watch the presentation of the song here. The Netherlands Joost Klein will present his song “Europapa”. He will do that in the Dutch tv-show “De Avondshow met Arjen Lubach”. The show will start at 16.45 and you can watch it here. Cyprus Silia Kapsis will present her song “Liar”. She will do that on Cypriot television at 17.00 CET and you can watch the presentation here. It is very likely that the EBU will place the Dutch and Cypriot songs right after the presentation on their YouTube Channel.

🇧🇪 Belgium: Mustii sings “Before the party’s over”

photo: RTBf This morning, the Belgian entry “Before the party’s over” has been presented. The song will be sung by Mustii. Belgium will perform in the 2nd half of the 2nd semifinal. The lyrics are written by Mustii himself along with Arianna Damato, Charlotte Clark, Nina Sampermans. The latter is a familiar name in Eurovision: she wrote “Would you” for Iris (Belgium 2012), “Tout l’univers” for Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland 2021) and “Bridges” for Alika (Estonia 2023). The song is composed by Mustii, Pierre Dumoulin and Benoit Leclerq. Dumoulin was responsible for two Belgian entries: “City lights” in 2017 and “Wake up” in 2019. Due to a mistake, made by RTBf’s radio station for youngsters, TIPIK, the song was leaked already. Sunday evening, the radio station already played the song. The result was that almost everywhere on the internet, “Before the party’s over” could be found. However, below you’ll find the official video as published by EBU.
