She currently resides in Alexandroupoli, Greece. Ivi first gained popularity after competing in the Greek version of The X Factor’s second season, mentored by Giorgos Theofanous. Following her X Factor journey, she signed with Sony Music Greece. In 2012, she represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with “La La Love”. Her debut EP, Kalokairi Stin Kardia, was released in 2010. That year, she also released the holiday EP, Christougenna Me Tin Ivi Adamou, known internationally as Christmas with Ivi Adamou. Her debut album, San Ena Oniro, dropped in July 2011, with standout tracks like “Krata Ta Matia Sou Klista”, “Kano Mia Efhi”, and “Voltes St Asteria”. While Eho Ourano was anticipated in summer 2013, it remained unreleased. However, her second studio album, Diko Mou, is set to release on 28 November 2022. Ivi also contributed songs for movies, notably for two Barbie films. She made her theater debut in 2015 with Barbarella: the 80’s Musical. Ivi’s style has been influenced by notable artists like Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, and Elena Paparizou. She’s earned titles such as “Pop Queen” and “Teen Idol” in Greece. Her debut EP received gold certification in Greece, and her holiday EP achieved platinum status in Portugal. Ivi has been honored with nominations and awards, particularly from MAD Video Music Awards and Madame Figaro Awards. In 2012, she uniquely clinched the “best singer in Cyprus” title.  After her Eurovision performance, Adamou toured various countries and collaborated with significant artists, including a recording with Spanish DJ Marsal Ventura titled “Time to Love.” Later in Greece, she worked on “Ase Me” with Kleopatra from Stavento. Although she planned an album release in early 2013, the album was delayed. Stavento and Adamou collaborated again on the song “Na Sou Tragoudo.” By April 2013, Adamou reconnected with Sony Music Greece and hinted at her new album, “Eho Ourano” (I Have Sky). In May, she released the single “Ponane Oi Agapes” (Loves Hurt) and performed at the MAD Video Music Awards. Unfortunately, due to the closure of Sony Music Greece, her album was shelved. In early 2014, she teased a special song release, appeared at 2014 MadWalk, and rumors floated about her becoming a coach on The Voice of Greece. In mid-2014, she confirmed her performance at the 2014 MAD Video Music Awards and embarked on a summer tour with Stavento. Although she was considered to host the Cypriot national selection for Eurovision 2015, the role went to another artist. Later that year, Adamou started another residency show with famous Greek artists. In 2015, Adamou’s “La La Love” ranked sixth among the most-watched Eurovision songs on YouTube. That year saw her engaging in multiple performances, including the Cyprus MadWalk and Eurovision Cruise. By mid-year, she launched a summer tour and revealed her participation in a musical titled “Barbarella: the 80’s Musical” that premiered in November. 2016 began with a new single announcement and collaboration with Stavento on their new album. By mid-year, she released a song remake, “Akou Sopa.” Adamou continued to dazzle the music scene in 2017 with live performances and new releases. One highlight was her role in the Greek production of the rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar.” By 2018, she had joined Panik Records, launched a residency in Thessaloniki, and released a hit song “Diko Mou” with Stavento. In 2019, she joined another residency at Fantasia Live, leading to several collaborations and the release of the song “Pao.” In 2021, she was recognized as Musician of the Year for the third time at the Madame Figaro Awards. The year also marked another collaboration with Stavento and a successful residency extended into 2022. By 2022, Adamou was back with new songs like “Agoraki Mou” and “Rikse Me.” She also started a residency in Box Athens and announced her upcoming second studio album, “Diko Mou,”, wich was released on 28 November 2022. The album reached the gold status. In March 2023, Ivi’s new single “De s’afino” was released. In April, she performed at the Spanish Eurovision preparty in Madrid. In May, she collaborated with Stavento; they released a new single, “Sto giatro”. The two did a summer tour together.
