Latvia is one of the last countries to present their entry. Samanta Tīna is going to sing “The moon is rising”, a song written and composed by Samanta herself together with Aminata Savadogo and Oskars Uhaņs.

On her Instagram, Samanta stated: “This song is about powerful and admirable women, about every single woman. I invite not to be afraid of ourselves and of being different. My song invites women to make a crown with their hands and put it on the head to be the ruler of life: to love and believe in ourselves. Then we will be loved by the people around us. I believe that such an attitude changes the way people treat you, but it is not enough – for this reason, the most important line in my song is: if you have something to say, say it to my face! Let’s accept and love ourselves, let’s be proud of what God has given to us, let’s accept our differences and stand for equality!”

Samanta Tīna was chosen to represent Latvia last year with the song “I’m still breathing”. After the cancellation of the contest, Latvian broadcaster LTV invited her for this year’s contest. She will perform in the 2nd semifinal.
