Katarsis
Katarsis is a Lithuanian alternative rock band that formed in Vilnius in 2019. The group includes Lukas RadzeviÄius (vocals, guitar), Alanas Brasas (lead guitar), Emilija KandrataviÄiĆ«tÄ (bass), and JokĆ«bas Andriulis (drums). RadzeviÄius initially launched the project as a solo act; however, as demand for live performances grew, he brought in other musicians and gradually shaped Katarsis into a full band. As they continued performing and refining their style, the group gained increasing recognition for their distinctive sound, which fuses alternative rock with post-punk influences.
âTavo akysâ
Katarsisâs Eurovision entry, âTavo akysâ (English: “Your Eyes”), features lyrics by Lukas RadzeviÄius and production by Jurgis Masilionis. The band released the track on 31 January 2025, and it quickly attracted attention for its emotional intensity. From a musical standpoint, the song highlights Katarsisâs signature alternative rock style, while also weaving in clear post-punk influences to enhance its atmosphere. Thanks to this unique blend and its heartfelt delivery, âTavo akysâ has earned widespread praise for both its emotional depth and strong composition.
