Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest

Spain has been a consistent participant in the Eurovision Song Contest since its debut in 1961. The country secured victories in 1968 with Massiel’s “La, la, la” and in 1969 with Salomé’s “Vivo cantando.” In 1973, Mocedades achieved second place with “Eres tú,” and in 1995, Anabel Conde also secured second place with “Vuelve conmigo.” More recently, in 2022, Chanel’s “SloMo” earned third place, marking Spain’s best result in nearly three decades. In the 2024 contest, held in Malmö, Spain was represented by Nebulossa with the song “Zorra.” The entry finished in 22nd place, accumulating a total of 30 points—19 from the professional juries and 11 from the public televote.

Throughout its Eurovision history, Spain has utilized various selection methods, including national finals like Benidorm Fest, to choose its representatives. The country’s participation has seen a range of outcomes, reflecting both high placements and less favorable results.
