Biography
Rade Vrčakovski, known as Vrčak, is a Macedonian pop-rap performer, songwriter, and physician. Born on November 17, 1980, in Strumica, North Macedonia, he began his music career in 1999 with the release of his debut album, Kako Da Pobegnam Od Sè. Over the next decade, Vrčak established himself as a prominent figure in the Macedonian music scene, blending pop and rap genres.
In 2006, Vrčak gained international recognition by writing the lyrics for “Ninanajna,” performed by Elena Risteska, which represented North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest and achieved a 12th-place finish. His second album, Vo Tvoeto Srce, released the same year, was a commercial success in North Macedonia. In 2008, he represented North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Tamara Todevska and Adrian Gaxha with the song “Let Me Love You.” Despite finishing 10th in the semi-final, they did not advance to the final due to the contest’s rules at the time.
After releasing his third album, Na Sedmo Nebo, in 2009, Vrčak shifted his focus towards literature. He authored the ebook I LOVE YOU BABY, a love story based on real-life events leading to significant scientific discoveries in human history. This special English-Macedonian edition offers readers a unique blend of romance and science. For more information, a promotional video is available, providing insights into the book’s themes and background.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Vrčak has continued to engage with his musical roots. Notably, his soulful Macedonian song “Ribari Ohrid” was featured in a TikTok video by user @macedonian_girl_19, which garnered 1,990 likes and was published in 2024.
