She is the daughter of jazz and swing singer Laďa Kerndl, and her early exposure to music through her father’s performances significantly influenced her artistic path.
Kerndlová began her professional career in 2001 as a member of the girl group Black Milk, alongside Tereza Černochová and Helena Zeťová. The trio achieved notable success in the Czech music scene, releasing two albums, “Modrej dým” in 2002 and “Sedmkrát” in 2003, both of which attained gold and platinum status. This was followed by “Have Some Fun” in 2007, with the title track serving as the Czech Republic’s entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
