Biography
Scooch, a British pop group, emerged in the late 1990s with a vibrant, upbeat sound and an energetic stage presence that captivated audiences. The band originally consisted of four members: Natalie Powers, Caroline Barnes, David Ducasse, and Russ Spencer. Their infectious melodies and catchy hooks brought them fame in the United Kingdom, and their debut album, “Four Sure,” released in 2000, included chart-topping hits such as “More Than I Needed to Know” and “The Best Is Yet to Come.”
After a brief hiatus, Scooch reunited in 2007 and were selected to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, Finland. Their performance of the song “Flying the Flag (For You)” featured a cheeky, airline-themed act that showcased their playful, theatrical style. Despite finishing 22nd in the competition, the song became a popular hit in the UK and Europe, reaching the top five on the UK Singles Chart.
