Biography
Fröken Snusk Persona and Breakthrough (2022–2024)
Felicia Eriksson first rose to fame as the voice behind Fröken Snusk, a viral Swedish music act known for its cheeky lyrics and masked image. As Fröken Snusk, she performed in a pink balaclava to keep her identity secret. This mysterious persona, created by producer Rasmus Gozzi, quickly gained widespread popularity in Sweden. Her 2022 track “Rid mig som en dalahäst” (“Ride me like a Dala horse”) became one of the most-streamed songs in Sweden that year.
During 2022–2023, Felicia (as Fröken Snusk) was among the country’s top artists. She was the 9th most-streamed artist on Spotify in Sweden in 2023 and performed over 300 live shows across the Nordic region. In early 2024, Fröken Snusk entered Melodifestivalen (Sweden’s Eurovision selection) with the song “Unga & fria” (“Young & Free”). Though it didn’t win the competition, the catchy song reached #1 on the Swedish charts after the contest, underlining her mainstream breakthrough. That spring, Felicia’s alter ego achieved another feat. She won the Swedish edition of Masked Singer in May 2024, further cementing her status as an emerging star with a unique stage presence and bold charisma.
Solo Career Launch and New Identity (2025)
In April 2025, Felicia stepped out from behind the Fröken Snusk character to launch her solo career under her own name. A new performer took over the Fröken Snusk act, while Felicia embraced a fresh musical identity. She revealed that she has struggled with social anxiety and even continued to wear a partial face mask onstage to cope with this condition. Free to be herself, Felicia debuted a modern pop sound that differentiated her from the novelty style of her former persona. In September 2025, she released her first solo single, “Black Widow,” which quickly climbed into the top ranks of Sweden’s streaming charts (peaking at #3 on Spotify). The song’s success garnered extensive airplay and media attention, proving that Felicia could thrive on her own.
That autumn, she also participated in SVT’s high-stakes reality competition Spelet and emerged as the winner of its inaugural season. By the end of 2025, Felicia had firmly reinvented herself. She was no longer hiding behind a character, but shining as a solo artist with a growing catalog of pop tracks (including follow-up singles like “Sugar High” and “Hard”).
Melodifestivalen 2026 and Eurovision
Determined to reach new heights, Felicia returned to Melodifestivalen in 2026, this time as herself. She entered the contest with an energetic electro-pop song called “My System.” The entry won over both international juries and Swedish audiences. On 7 March 2026, Felicia won Melodifestivalen 2026 with a total of 161 points, securing her ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest. This victory marked a personal triumph, as she had transformed from a masked novelty act into an authentic pop artist on Sweden’s biggest stage. As the Swedish representative for Eurovision 2026, Felicia will perform “My System” for millions of viewers across Europe. Notably, she co-wrote the song herself alongside a team of Nordic songwriters.Â
