Biography

Bardo was a British duo, active in the early 1980’s. Sally Ann Triplett (15 april 1962) and Stephen Fischer formed the duo. At the time they formed Bardo, they were also a couple in real life.
Sally Ann had previously represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the group Prima Donna. She also performed a lot in the BBC tv show “Crackjack!”. She has appeared on numerous cast recordings for shows like “Grease”, “Anything goes” and “Oliver”.
Stephen Fischer is a musical artist. He was playing in the musical “Godspell”. Because of that, he had to say ‘no’ to being a member of Bucks Fizz, where he was asked for the original line up.
Bardo represented the United Kingdom in the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “One step further”. Nichola Martin was their manager; she was also the manager of Bucks Fizz, the band that won the year before. Bardo released a few singles after Eurovision, but they all failed to reached the charts. An album was therefore cancelled. They performed in France for some time. In 1990, they got a son together.
