Council Rotterdam: host city Eurovision 2021

Photo: Jeroen ‘t Hart Today is the day the council of Rotterdam had to agree being host city for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. And they did! From all the 41 councilors voting, 33 agreed with this. Apart from the money the city of Rotterdam already spent on the contest, it will cost 6,7 million euros extra. Mayor Aboutaleb and the city council members requested to do so. Today the decision is made: they will. Of course we do not know how the Covid-19 crisis will develop, but the will to organize the contest is there!
