Olivia Newton-John
Olivia Newton-John passed away on August 8th, 2022. She was 73 years old. Olivia Newton-John participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, where she came in fourth. She represented the United Kingdom with the song ‘Long live long’. Afterwards, Newton-Johns’ international career took off with her role as Sandy in Grease (1978). After Grease, a few top 40 hits followed, like the movie soundtrack ‘Xanadu’ and the song ‘Physical’.

Torgny Söderberg
Sten Torgny Söderberg passed away on August 5th, 2022, at age 77. The composer was mainly known for his contribution to the winning Eurovision entry ‘Diggy-loo diggy-lee’. The Herreys performed the song in 1984, representing Sweden. In addition, Torgny was also known for his collaboration with Lena Philipsson on schlager songs like ‘100%’.

Vesa-Matti Loiri
Vesa-Matti Loiri, also called Vesku, passed away on August 10th, 2022. The singer was 77 years old. Vesa-Matti participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980, where he represented Finland with the song ‘Huilumies’. Furthermore, Vesa-Matti is a big name in Finland. The versatile artist was not only a singer, but he was also an actor, comedian and played the flute.

Zvika Pick
Zvika Pick passed away on August 14, 2022, at age 72. Zvika was an Israeli pop singer, songwriter, composer and also a tv personality. Zvika was the composer of the song ‘Diva’. Dana International performed the song and won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998. Above all, Pick was a leading pop singer in Israel in the 1970s. He was voted Israeli male singer of the year and furthermore, he played a leading role in the Hebrew version of the musical ‘Hair’.
